MEET THE TEAM

Dr. Ravi is a Public Health Doctor, trained in Oxford with over 25 years of experience in all three domains of public health (i.e. health protection, health improvement and health services) both in the UK and in India.  Dr. Ravi’s career started as a HIV Physician where he saw health promotion and disease prevention programs to engage, empower individuals and communities to choose healthy behaviours; and make changes that reduce the risk of developing long term health conditions or its impact. He provided public health leadership and expertise for a number of NHS organisations (i.e. Hospitals, CCGs) and Local Authorities across England and Wales. In 2009, he was part of the public health team who dealt with the Swine flu pandemic and currently contributes to the Regional Public Health team tackling the coronavirus pandemic. In his current role within the health protection team, he provides leadership, management and oversight of the health protection function, including the response to infectious disease incidents and outbreaks. Being part of More Horizons, Dr. Ravi believes we can explore ways to support our vulnerable individuals and communities; and reduce health inequalities.
